Now, why a grocery store in Mountain Brook? Other than the fact that it is something else I see in Birmingham Alabama, it is here as a reminder. When your spouse asks you to bring some stuff from the store always get a list! This is why I ended up here at the Piggly Wiggly in Mountain Brook (next to Liberty Park).
While you can get to this Piggly Wiggly using the link above, you can see all ten Piggly Wiggly’s in the Birmingham area here and get directions to them too. Basically, whether you live in Mountain Brook or call anywhere else in Birmingham Alabama home, you can find and shop at “The Pig”

There used to be an old Piggly Wiggly out on Old Springville Rd. in Chalkville/Clay.
I love the blog. I’m an East TN born gal who grew up and love most of my live in the Birmingham and Springville area. About 5 years ago I remarried and my husband’s work has carried us out of my beloved Birmingham and Alabama. (I still own a home there and maybe will return some day). I get a major case of homesickness – your pics helped

Bev, I believe that one could still be there! Obviously you remember just how wonderful the area is. I just want to share that with those who don’t know yet.

Does anyone have a picture of the statue of Pastor Bryan. I believe the statue is in a park downtown.
Any info would be of great help
