Saturday, July 26, 2008, Church of the Highlands (which is where we go to church) is participating in a massive undertaking (One Prayer) with hundreds of other groups (from our church) and more than 1,600 other churches around the world to make an impact in our world. Saturday, July 26, 2008, will be the day that you may see thousands of blue shirts (thats the uniform) serving in different ways around Birmingham Alabama. Another part of the focus was to help plant more than 500 churches around the world. A video list of the churches has also been made. Remember us in your thoughts this weekend as we seek to model the example set before us and bring honor to our Lord.

In case someone makes it by, share what you did, your experience…
My wife and I got to serve at Restoration Academy in Fairfield and had a great time. There were groups passing out flyers door to door, construction crews, landscaping crews, painting crews, and trash crews. We picked up trash. The people there were very welcoming and appreciative.
